The best aspect of being a teacher is that you are consistently centred in new learning. This new learning does not begin and end with school but expands our personal lives.
Our new learning shapes the people we are and the capacity for innovation and creativity. Below our wonderful staff share their journey of lifelong learning.
Always with a novel to read, art, dancing and last year completed Yoga teacher training.
Growing fruits and vegetables, producing coffee, keeping chickens, producing honey with own beehives. Taking this fresh produce and making sauces and delicious dishes.
It’s about creativity: learning to create with yarn through the art of macrame, one pot hanger at a time! Reigniting my connection to textiles.
I enjoy learning how things work, this usually means pulling stuff apart and hopefully putting it back together in one piece. I love gadgets, new technology and working with others to solve problems. In my spare time I like to play guitar, go on multi-day hikes and take nature photos.
Learning how to grow things is an ongoing passion of mine, spending time with my children outside is one of my favourite things to do. I also enjoy making things, especially if I can eat them! Perfecting sourdough may well be a lifelong learning experience.
Besides family time and sport, my lifelong learning includes many things such as learning languages, trying to make yummy foods and building/landscaping at home.

My two biggest passions throughout my whole life are performing music and traveling. I am in my element singing and playing in bands and also as a solo act accompanying myself on guitar.
I enjoy writing and learning new music when inspired, and have also loved writing poetry since childhood. I love traveling, and was once reasonably fluent in Spanish, so I am hoping to find the time to re-learn that valuable lost skill. I also love going to the theatre and would like to start acting again when I have the time.
